The contest is no longer a fundraiser for our neighborhood’s beautiful street lights. The ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD will now be included in the competition!
Winners will receive bragging rights and a fa-Boo-lous yard sign to announce their win! We so love hosting the many kids who choose our neighborhood for their yearly trick-or-treating and cannot wait to see this year’s chills and thrills.
The categories are as follows:
Graveyard
Entries will be judged on the sweeping graveyard theme.
Too Cute to Spook
Entries will be judged on family-friendly fright.
Scariest
Entries will be judged on special effects and overall scream-worthiness.
Block of Horrors
Entries will be judged on neighborly group ghoulishness.
Mesta Park Decoration Contest Rules
Eligibility: Participation is open to all residents (rented or owned) within the Mesta Park neighborhood.
Contest Scope: The contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows visible from the exterior. Judging will be conducted from outside the residence.
Media Agreement: Participants agree to allow one or more photos of the exterior of their decorated home to be posted on the website, social media pages, and/or the Mesta Park Newsletter, as well as used in future promotional publications.
No Compensation: Participants agree that there will be no compensation of any kind for said posting or publication.
Judging Timeline: All judging will be completed from Friday, October 25th through Sunday, October 27th.
Decoration Activation: Participants should ensure that all lights, animations, and decorations are in place and activated before October 25th..
Winners Announcement: Winners will be announced on December 17th via the Mesta Park website, social media accounts, and Mesta Park Newsletter.
Prizes: Winners will receive bragging rights and a faboolous yard sign to announce their win!
